Fall In Love with Fall Cathedral Windows

Fall in Love With Cathedral Windows. Cathedral window quilt patterns can be a bit intimidating due to the intricate nature of the shapes that give this quilt block a complicated look. In this class, Donna Smith will show you a technique that is sure to inspire you to fall in love as you stitch your way through the cathedral window patchwork block.

Jelly Roll Rug

Back by popular demand, the Jelly Roll rug will have another class in October to allow anyone who could not attend the other sessions another chance before Christmas. These beautiful rugs are made with jelly rolls.

Creative Chaos with J. Michelle Watts

Date:  Friday, October 19th

Time:  10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Instructor:  J. Michelle Watts

Fee:  $45 (prepaid and non-refundable) plus supplies

Michelle Watts is a quilt artist who loves living in the Southwest region of the U.S.  She will be in Paris for a limited engagement only.  Michelle has been quilting for over 30 years and has spent the last 24 years creating wearable clothing and quilts that express her love of the Southwest.  She lectures throughout the United States and is the author of three quilting books.

 Unleash your creativity as you work on a one of a kind work of art.  No previous drawing skills needed.  with simple guidelines, you will be able to create a wonderful stain glass quilt without using bias.  There is nothing to match, no quarter seam allowance to fret over .  You can't do anything wrong!  It's complete freedom.

Flannel Rag Quilt

Date:  Tuesdays October 22nd and 29th

Time:  10 am to 4 pm

Camille will teach a step by step method for a flannel rag quilt.  If you are interested please come by the shop for a supply list and a chance  to pick out your fabric before the class.

Quilt As You Go

Date:  Thursdays September 20th,  October 18th, and November 15th

Time:  9:30 am to 3:00 pm

Instructor:  Donna Smith

Fee: $60 plus supplies for all 3 sessions

Donna will work with you on this traditional log cabin pattern with a twist, when you finish your project will be quilted!

Saturday Sampler 2018

DATE: 1st Saturday of each month

TIME: 10:00 am

INSTRUCTOR: Camille Wideman

FEE: $10.00 to register.  Bring back your completed block each month at one of the 2 class times, and you receive your next block free.  Each time you fail to be present with a finished block, you will pay $10 for the next block.  This is a 16 block program.  If you complete your block each month, you will have received all fabrics and patterns for only $10.  What a deal! 

This year's program is Be My Neighbor.  It was designed by Pat Sloan for Moda 2 years ago.  We think you'll love the colors and fabrics.  Each block will include a town building and sometimes trees, etc.  See the first block above and at the shop.  When in the shop ask Camille to show you the quilt's design.

Underground Railroad quilt class

DATE: Monday, January 29 was class 1 of 5 to meet the last Monday of each month.  Class that should meet on May 29th will be rescheduled for Friday June 1st.

Free Motion Quilting class Continued

DATE: Class will be the 2nd Friday of each month August thru December.  Class is  not structured attend which session you can.

Texas Round-Up - or....Let No Texas Our Texas quilt go unfinished!

DATE: Wednesdays,, June 27, July 25, August 29

If you ever took a Texas Our Texas BOM quilt class from Regina but never finished the quilt, bring it all to the classroom so Regina can help you jump start your project again.  Her goal is NO UNFINISHED TEXAS OUR TEXAS PROJECT!

Victory Quilts class

DATE: 1st Wed. of each month for 8 months - 1st class on May 2 In July it will be the 1st Thursday July 5th due to holiday.

TIME: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Victory Quilts by Eleanor Burns features quilts made during the 1940's.  Choose the quilt from the book that you prefer to make in the class.  Regina will show you the way.

Date: Classes will meet on the 3rd Tuesday each month for 6 months beginning June 19th.

Time:  10 am to 4 pm 

Fee:   Classes will be $50 plus supplies.

Instructor:  Nancy Glaspie

Quilt finishes as a 52" X 64" and while the pieces looked curved, the effect is achieved by folding fabric. Allergic to cats? The pattern will work with any 9 inch block or any large print fabric.  A western panel, sewing fairy panel, and large scale floral are available at the shop.  Come in and let us show you the possibilities.


Sew Always encourages sewing groups, whether machine or hand, to bring your projects and enjoy the classroom area.  There is no charge, and all are welcome.  No reservation is necessary for already existing groups.  If you would like to start a new group, please check with the shop for classroom availability.

Thursday Sew-In - This group meets from 10:00a-5:00p on the 1st Thursday of each month.  Bring your machine and supplies to work on any project you currently are enjoying.

Hand Embroidery - This group meets from 10:00a-5:00p on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  The group enjoys chatting while they work on their individual hand embroidery projects.

Handwork - This group meets from 10:00a-5:00p on the 3rd Monday of each month.  Bring any handwork you need to work on and enjoy the camaraderie.

Machine Applique - This group meets from 10:00a-5:00p on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.   Check with the shop for details.

Machine Embroidery - This group meets from 1:00p-3:00p on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  The group discusses different machine embroidery techniques and projects, and participants show their latest projects.  If you need one on one instruction, Paula McVay is available at an hourly rate.  Check the shop for details.

Friday Sew-In - This group meets from 10:00 a-5:00 p the last Friday of each month.  It is classroom time for you to bring projects that need attention without all the interruptions you might get at home!

Quilts of Valor- This group meets from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm the second Wednesday of each month to work on projects for the Quilts of Valor program.

Red River Valley Quilt Guild - In addition to the regular sewing groups, this Guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00a-12:00p.   The Guild exists to enhance the quilt knowledge of its members through speakers and presentations.  Their community outreach project is called the ABC Project.  Members make quilts of all sizes to be donated to various organizations in the area.  Come visit for a meeting or two.  We'd love to see you!  If you decide to  join, the yearly fee is $25.
